Upgrade to Version 3

Free Upgrade to v3

Customers who have a current Annual subscription license are eligible for a free upgrade to v3.

Also, customers who purchased a v2 Perpetual license after 1 November 2010 are eligible for
a free upgrade to the v2 package originally purchased.

To obtain the free upgrade:

  • Download and install the latest version 3 software from our website

  • Run DesignBuilder
  • Open the License dialog using the "Help > License" menu option
  • Ensure your v2 activation code is entered correctly
  • Press the "Activate" button.

You will now have access to the v3 package you purchased in v2, e.g. if you purchased a Design Simulation v2 package, you will have access to the Design Simulation v3 package, which as well as EnergyPlus and Visualisation, includes the new HVAC and Daylighting modules.

40% Upgrade Discount

Customers who purchased a v2 perpetual license before 1 November 2010 are eligible for a 40% discount to upgrade to any v3 software.

Contact us to obtain your discount voucher code or if you have any other questions. Please quote your activation code or invoice number to allow us to send you a discount voucher code directly.
